From me to you, with love

The first six people to respond to this post will get something made by me. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations: – What I create will be personalized and intended for you. – It’ll be done this year (2009). – You will have no idea what it’s going to [...]

Dear Leonnie

Leonnie ( aged 13) came from school into Town and came home with me.  We travelled by train and read for the short 30 minute trip and then as we walked up from the station she told me that she is not suidicidal or anything but every night she goes to bed and she is [...]

Celebrated annually on 26 January, the day commemorates the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788, marking the start of British colonisation of Australia. That doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate our [...]

Haze

Heat and temperatures of 40+ Celsius (over 100 Fahrenheit)  largely throughout this week have bred a population with grey bags under their eyes, large enough to pack for a weekend away.  I have been asking Tony to allow me to “hide” them for him.  Makeup CAN work wonders!!  Tony, of course, glares at me. Loudly, [...]

Kung Po chicken

Slice chicken thigh fillets into 1 inch slices and marinate in a little cornflour and chinese rice wine.
While this is happening dry roast schezwan peppers with sea salt and pound them in a mortar and pestle.
Splash oil into a wok and put in some schezwan dried chilis.  Stand and watch these slowly blacken [...]
