After my morning personal training session and as I wandered the miles into work for a new week, I found myself skirting around the subject of desire and sexuality and what it means or doesn’t mean. For me.
There is physical hunger ( often called lust) which races like an infection through every breath one takes. [...]

Taking stock
Posted in Lessons, Life, Thoughts on June 17, 2009 | 4 Comments »
June for me is the perfect month to tie up loose ends on ongoing projects and to take a moment to stop and consider how far you’ve come. This is one of the times I do my emotional audit. Where have I come from? What have I accomplished? Where do I want to go from [...]
When life throws you a curveball…
Posted in Days, Lessons, Thoughts on May 18, 2009 | 5 Comments »
Even if you’re not a baseball fan, you know a curveball is a tricky pitch: It doesn’t follow the path you expect, it can surprise you by arriving when you’re not ready for it, and if you’re not careful, it can leave you with a painful bruise. That’s why we refer to unexpected developments in [...]
Partnership and Committment
Posted in Lessons, Life, Love, Thoughts on April 7, 2009 | 16 Comments »
I have been putting much thought to partnerships and close personal relationships and committment of late.
My parents married early after a period of courting and wooing, as was common during the late 40’s and 50’s. Both were Catholic. Both were virgins when they married. Both married for life, and for better and for worse. [...]

Bushfire season
Posted in Days, Lessons, Life, Thoughts on February 9, 2009 | 6 Comments »

When we choose to live in [...]
“I have a dream”
Posted in Thoughts on January 21, 2009 | 11 Comments »
As it is Martin Luther King day in the States and so many Americans seem to carry and aura of hope today, I wanted to think of my dreams and ask you what are yours.
“I have a dream….”
I dream of a world where separated parents do not play manipulative games using children to wreck vengeance. [...]

“Life isn’t about finding yourself; it’s about creating yourself.” George Bernard Shaw.
In my life I have been in situations where the power was NOT with me or mine and I was a bit of the flotsam and jetsam drifting on the tide of life wondering why life didn’t dump me on any shores I [...]

““A moment lasts all of a second, but the memory lives on forever.” ANONYMOUS
Browsing through a magazine while I wended my way workward this morning, This thought struck me and I began to think.
When we write stories base don memory, the stOries usually are structured sequentially however memory does not come back to us as it happened.

Today Leonnie and I went to this movie ( her choice) and I was glad to go with her as the reviews looked interesting and it looked as though it might mke one think. It was based on a short story by F Scott Fitzgerald and I assure you it is worth seeing, BUT take a box of [...]
