Jupiter aligns with Venus, Mercury and Mars – May 13 2011

Shades of my youth and remembering the lyrics of Age of Aquarius.  Well it is not just Jupiter aligning with Mars ( which is not so rare and happens quite frequently), the alignment is with three other planets in the predawn Australian sky.

The last time these planets were observed together was in October 1910.  The good news is that if you want to see it, it is visible after 5am pretty much each morning this week.

  1. Lois, you can see if every morning for about a week ( I am in Sydney). I hope for a clear morning for you. Awesomeness.

  2. And they say good things happen when the planets align….

  3. Too bad! It was too cloudy this morning to see the alignment. Btw, I’m in Melbourne:)
